Know what your sample is intended to prove before you approve the next production step.
Illustration note: imagery is an AI-generated Pliapack brand demonstration, not a manufactured sample or evidence of a particular material or finish.
Define the purpose of the sample
A blank structural sample and a finished production-representative sample answer different questions. A structural sample can help assess dimensions and construction without demonstrating the final print. A printed proof may show artwork but not the behavior of the assembled pack. Ask which materials, printing methods and finishes are represented, and record any differences before reviewing it. PackMojo's published sample comparison illustrates these distinctions; its specific service terms are not Pliapack terms.
Pack it with the intended contents
Use actual products where possible, including accessories, cards and any protective wrapping. Check whether the contents fit without force, whether the lid closes, and whether someone can remove each item comfortably. For sets, follow the proposed assembly sequence rather than placing the components loosely for a photograph.
Record decisions, not just an approval
Our suggested review record includes the sample date, product version, dimensions reviewed, artwork revision and any changes still open. Photograph relevant details and identify who will approve the revised sample. If you approve structure only, state that explicitly so it is not confused with approval of print or finish.
Separate presentation from distribution checks
A sample that looks right has not automatically demonstrated suitability for shipping. Discuss the intended route, outer cartons and any relevant testing requirements separately. A change to the product weight, insert or delivery method may require the pack to be reviewed again.
What to send with your feedback
Describe the issue, mark its location and explain the desired outcome. For example: the card sits above the insert and obstructs the lid; move it into the planned pocket. This is more useful than an unexplained request to make the pack feel more premium.
